Psychological & Developmental Assessment

Accurate assessment is the foundation of effective therapy. Our comprehensive evaluations provide the answers families need to move forward with confidence.

About This Service

Why Assessment Matters

A psychological or developmental assessment is a comprehensive evaluation of a child's cognitive, academic, behavioural, and social-emotional functioning. It answers the key question: why is my child struggling? — and provides a clear roadmap for intervention.

"An accurate assessment is not a label — it is a map. It tells you where your child is, what they need, and how to get there."

At Little Wings, our assessments are thorough, evidence-based, and delivered with sensitivity and care. We use standardised, internationally recognised assessment tools — and translate the results into practical, actionable recommendations that families and schools can actually use.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does an assessment take?+
Most assessments take 2–4 sessions of 1–2 hours each, spread over 1–2 weeks. The full report is typically ready 2–3 weeks after testing is complete.
Does my child need a referral for an assessment?+
No referral is needed. You can contact us directly to arrange an assessment. We may request school reports or previous assessments to inform our evaluation.
Will the assessment label my child?+
A diagnosis is a description, not a label. It explains why your child is experiencing difficulties — and opens the door to appropriate support. Most families find a diagnosis to be a relief, not a burden.
Are your reports accepted by schools?+
Yes. Our reports are comprehensive, professionally formatted, and prepared to the standard expected by Pakistani schools, international schools, and medical practitioners.
What if my child is anxious about testing?+
We take all possible steps to reduce anxiety — familiar environment, breaks, games-based approaches where possible, and child-led pacing. Anxiety is very common and we are experienced in managing it.
